Me acaba de llegar y es una delicia. Las fotos son muy buenas, están muy bien impresas y quedan pocas historias en el tintero, aunque algunas las hemos leído igual en otros sitios.

El vencedor Scott Dixon , fue delante durante 115 vueltas incluyendo las dos más importantes (primera y última), y con ello la victoria. Venció a Vitor Meira por 1.75 s. Desde la victoria de Montoya en 2000 no se había visto tal dominación de la carrera.

Las chicas no tuvieron suerte: Danica Patrick tuvo un incidente en linea de boxes en la vuelta 171 cuanbdo iba 7ª y quedó relegada a la 22ª posición. Sarah fisher acabó... y Milka Dunno

Danica Patrick had already screamed one expletive into the radio, right after impact, but she only became angrier while waiting to get back to the pits.

"Was that Briscoe?" she said after colliding with Ryan Briscoe on pit road near the end of Sunday's Indianapolis 500.

"10-4," came the response from Patrick's pit.

"What a (bleep)!" Patrick screamed. "A dumb (bleeping) idiot!"

With 29 of the 200 laps remaining, and Patrick's run finished because of the crash, the most vivid image from the race was still to come. Upon returning to her pit, Patrick got out of the car and, like an enforcer in hockey, dropped her gloves during a purposeful walk toward Briscoe's pit.

Before she could get there, others intervened, taking her back to her pit, where she stayed until the end of the race.

Patrick was seventh at the time of the crash. She finished 22nd.

"I don't know if we had enough speed to win the thing," she said outside her garage after cooling off. But, she added, "We were looking at a top five in the Indy 500."

The crash happened when Briscoe pulled out from his pit, three positions from the exit, as Patrick was trying to exit.

"It was quite obvious what happened," Patrick said. "You don't pull out from your pit box three lanes out. That's why they have a get-up-to-speed lane, which is the inside lane. When you're at speed, you're on the outside lane. It's not the right thing to do, just going all the way out to the wall."

Briscoe maintained his innocence, saying Patrick had room to get around him to the right.

"She's pointing fingers, but that's pretty typical of her," Briscoe said. "I'm not here to get in fights and rumbles. We can sort it out nice and quietly. I'm sure as soon as she sees the replay, she'll understand she's out of line."

Asked if he saw Patrick walking toward him on pit road, Briscoe replied, "Yes, I did," before disappearing into his garage.

Patrick said she would wait before approaching Briscoe about the dispute.

"I'm hoping he comes and finds me first," she said. "If he doesn't come to me within a certain amount of time, rest assured I'll talk to him about it."

Even before the crash, it had been a frustrating day for Patrick, who had high hopes after winning the Japan Indy 300 in April. Looking ahead to the Indy 500, Sports Illustrated put Patrick on the cover with the headline, "Yes She Can."

Patrick qualified fifth, but it became apparent early that her car wasn't handling well.

Me alegraría que fuera ella quien finalmente pudiera alzarse con la victoria, aunque tiene unos duros rivales.
Lo que no me deja de sorprender es la idiosincrasia de los estadounidenses, con sus óvalos. He ahí una de las grandes diferencias con la formula 1, que seguirá siendo cosa de "europeos". Al menos es lo que creo.

Me parece muy interesante que se hay puesto en contacto conmigo a traves de este humilde blog.

La señora Juneck falleció pero en la Republica Checa queda gente que la trató.

Toda información que tenga de su vinculo familiar, el camino que les llevó allí, cualquier cosa, será publicada si usted lo desea. Lo humano es la base de la historia.

saludos a mi tia abuela,por sus triunfos de piloto.... mi familia esta en peru ,por mi abuelo jose junek chochole, quien fue el hermano mayor nacio en bohemia praha y vive actualmente en lima- peru, tiene 96 años de edad yo soy su nieto mayor gunther antonio junek , saludos ala familia junek triunfadora en deportes extremo quisiera q me escriban para conocer mas a mi familia lejana y original saludos ala familia junek

hola me gusto mucho saber la vida de eliska ,la mejor mujer piloto del mundo,me he emocionado hasta las lagrimas pues mi vida ,es muy parecida a la de ella ,tambien soy una mujer piloto pero no consagrada como ella, eso si me gustaria mucho consagrarme de la misma manera ,mi marido tambien es piloto ,el es muy bueno en lo que hace ,pelea en la punta y ademas se preocupa de preparar mi auto .el amor de eliska se parece mucho al mio,lo unico que desearia es que no terminara igual .

Al final no pudo ser, pues Danika Patrick no estaba bien situada cuando se paró la carrera por segunda vez en la vuelta 166. Su compañero de equipo Dario Franchitti fue el inesperado ganador, lo que produjo una manifestación de alegría inusitada por su parte y su esposa, la actriz Ashley Judd. Scott Dixon fue segundo y Helio Castroneves tercero. Danika sólo fue octava, pero su juventud le augura un gran futuro en Indy.

Milka Duno tuvo un accidente sin graves consecuencias y Sarah Fisher fue 18ª.

La prueba ha sido detenida por la lluvia en la vuelta 113, en ese momento el brasileño Tony Kanaan acababa de superar a Marco Andrettii, y Danika Patrick era tercera.

Esas plazas serían definitivas si las inclemencias del tiempo impidieran reanudar la prueba, como sucedió en 1976, en que la detención se produjo en la vuelta 102.
